InSys Consulting CEO is Awarded Tuck-WBENC Scholarship by UPS

September, 2008 — Linda Magnusson-Rosario, CEO and founder of InSys Consulting Services, Inc. has been awarded a scholarship to the Tuck-WBENC Executive Program. United Parcel Service, a key InSys client and event sponsor, chose Ms. Magnusson-Rosario to participate in this prestigious event, which will be held October 5 – 10, 2008 in the IBM conference facility in Palisades, New York.

"I'm extremely honored to be chosen," stated Ms. Magnusson-Rosario, a member of the Women's Business Enterprise Council (WBENC) since 2004. "I've had a relationship with UPS since my early days in professional services, and they're a valued, long-term client. I'm thrilled that they thought of me." The five-day intensive executive development program, conducted by WBENC partner Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, has been designed to help women business owners make strategic business decisions, optimize core business processes and manage business relationships. Fifty attendees will work toward forming a support base that will provide continued guidance, expertise and strategic alliances well after the program ends. Using their own businesses as case studies, attendees will experience cooperative learning sessions that will have significant take-home value.
 

InSys Sales Teams Attends NYS MWBE Jump Start Event

June, 2008 — On June 12 the InSys Sales Team attended a New York State MWBE event in Albany, sponsored by EDS, designed to give minority- and women-owned technology solution providers a chance to meet some of the major technology companies currently serving various New York State agencies. The program featured keynote speaker James Brown, CBS Sports Commentator and CEO of Brown Technology Group, and provided workshops, certification best practices and networking opportunities.

"I've attended events like this in the past, but this one was well-worth the trip to Albany," noted Linda Magnusson-Rosario, InSys CEO. This event was considered a "jump start" for a program that will dedicate 20% of every state contract to a WBE or MBE by 2010.

InSys Consulting CEO, Linda Magnusson-Rosario, Wins 2008 Enterprising Women of the Year Award

February, 2008 — Linda Magnusson-Rosario, CEO and founder of InSys Consulting Services, Inc. has been named a winner of the 2008 Enterprising Women of the Year Award in recognition of her success as a woman entrepreneur.

This award honors women business leaders who have mentored and given back to other women in business, profoundly impacting their communities. "Our award winners are accomplished entrepreneurs who have earned the respect and admiration of their communities," stated Monica Smiley, publisher and CEO of Enterprising Women Magazine.

Magnusson-Rosario Receives 2008 Enterprising Women of the Year AwardMs. Magnusson-Rosario, who is also a member of the Women Presidents' Organization, founded InSys in April 2000. Under her leadership the company has also won awards for its exceptional growth. "I'm very proud to accept this honor on behalf of the entire InSys team. Without our dedicated sales, recruiting and management folks and our highly-skilled consultants, InSys wouldn't be where it is today," noted Linda. "And I never forget about the credit due our clients. They've helped us grow from a revenue and employee perspective, but they've also continued to challenge us in meeting their needs. We're better because of it."

Linda joined this year's recipients at a gala dinner on February 29, as part of a three-day celebration in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The Walt Disney World Company was the premiere event sponsor, and UPS was the platinum event sponsor.

 

Michael Horowitz Appointed Vice President for Business Development

January 4, 2008 — InSys Consulting Services, Inc. announces the expansion of the company's management team through the appointment of Michael Horowitz as Vice President for Business Development.

"Mike is a highly successful sales executive with over 27 years' experience in the IT consulting industry," stated Linda Magnusson-Rosario, President and CEO. "With his outstanding track record in tactical sales, marketing and operational leadership, I expect him to be a key player who'll help us accelerate our already strong record of growth. I'm very excited to have him on board."

Mr. Horowitz has a background in financial services and insurance, and has worked for a number of well-regarded consulting companies, including Business Edge Solutions, Paragon Computer Professionals and Computer Horizons. "With his hands-on experience in process improvement, I think Mike will also play a role in strategic planning," according to Anthony Pirozzi, InSys COO. "He shares the InSys vision and will work hard to actively engage with our client base."
